Please join us by making a contribution toward the completion of our new project based on the Chris Hegedus & D.A. Pennebaker film, Town Bloody Hall. The film documents the 1971 Town Hall “Dialogue on Women’s Liberation” which featured feminist thinkers and activists – including Jacqueline Ceballos, Germaine Greer, Jill Johnston, Diana Trilling, and, in the audience, a young Susan Sontag – with Norman Mailer serving as an (immoderate) moderator.
Our cast for this new piece includes Maura Tierney – who brought the film to our attention – Ari Fliakos, Greg Mehrten, Scott Shepherd, and Kate Valk. We’re delving into the feminist thinking and art happenings of the 1970s, using the film as a jumping off point. We plan to perform the piece in New York next year at The Performing Garage.
Whatever you can give to support our project based on Town Bloody Hall will be greatly appreciated by the whole company. Please help keep The Wooster Group working at The Performing Garage!
Thank you very much
