Dear Friend,

Thank you for your interest in The Wooster Group. As our audience, you are essential to our generating and performing new work.

This year, we completed CRY, TROJANS! (Troilus & Cressida), gave it a preview run at The Performing Garage, premiered it in Los Angeles, presented it in September at the Singapore International Festival of Arts — and we’re making it the centerpiece of The Wooster Group’s 2015 New York season at St. Ann’s Warehouse next spring. Also at St. Ann’s we’ll be presenting EARLY SHAKER SPIRITUALS: A RECORD ALBUM INTERPRETATION, in which I’ll be performing, directed by my longtime collaborator Kate Valk. The piece opened at The Performing Garage, and ran for 23 sold-out performances last spring (see the May 29, 2014 review in The New York Times).

Wooster Group plans for 2015 include touring our productions in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Brussels, Antwerp, and (tentatively) three cities in China. Plus, we have a completely new production in development, Harold Pinter’s THE ROOM! Watch our website for announcements about work-in-progress showings.

Your interest is very important to us, but what we are asking now is a greater level of commitment to the work we do. We need your financial support and are hoping you will make a gift to The Wooster Group. Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated by our whole company.
